  • St Paul’s fell silent as we remembered the fallen heroes of war.

    Published 15/11/17
On Friday November 10th at 11am the classrooms and corridors of St Paul’s fell silent as we remembered the fallen heroes of war.

It was preceded by a Service of Remembrance where the bloody battle of Passchendaele in the winter of 1917 was the main theme. Girls were reminded of the sacrifice made by Birmingham man Lance Corporal Charles Richards who was awarded for his valiant conduct under German fire. The Irish Nationalist poet Francis Ledwidge lost his life at Passchendaele and his poetry featured in the service. The Cadets laid wreaths on behalf of us all.
